PFW SPRING 2016 RTW: DAY 4

The best show of the fourth day of Paris Fashion Week was definitely Balenciaga show, which was the last show of Alexander Wang with the house. With the silk ivory looks, Wang was slipping away from Balenciaga. The collection was very soft and relaxed but very innovative. Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keogh and Bella Heathcote were among the models despite their normal body size. Wang took a risk in his final presentation with Balenciaga and now it worked out so well that it will be hard for the new designer to outdo him.
Raf Simons chose simplicity in Christian Dior Spring 2016 collection and he avoided too much embellishment. The collection was a little bit Victorian, so feminine and so soft. My favourites in Dior presentation were the oversize sweaters.
Hussein Chalayan had been inspired by Cuba for his collection and it was a playful way to reflect Cuba. The show began with two models in white paper dresses standing there and doing nothing. After the military-inspired looks passed, there came the most beautiful part of the show, the print dresses. The last looks were Chalayan's essentials, the suits.
Andrew Gn likes combining the opposites in his work. He did so again. In his Spring 2016 collection, you can find edgy and soft details, or Western and Eastern details in one look and he brought them together very beautifully.
