LFW SPRING 2016 RTW: PART 2

Trance-like expressions, pale faces, Victorian dresses in Erdem's presentation made us think that it was more than fashionable clothes. He explained backstage that it was all about prairie madness. In 1862, Abraham Lincoln passed the Homestead Act, which gave single women and widows the right to their own plots of land in the West, as long as they stayed there for five years. They started to suffer from agoraphobia and all kinds of psychological illnesses. Erdem's show focused on this madness and it was madly beautiful.
Classic trenchcoats with militaristic details, vintage-inspired eveningwear with lace, silk and chiffon, and perfect embroidery. Christopher Bailey did a great job again with Burberry Prorsum.
Christopher Kane is definitely an artist. I just wonder what is inside that head that comes out in such colourful, fun, odd but beautiful way. He did it again with Spring 2016 collection and you know what, it was beautiful again.
Eva Herzigova, Karen Elson, Irina Shayk, Lily Donaldson, Poppy Delevingne, Georgia May Jagger, Stella Maxwell, Dree Hemingway, Bella Hadid and Erin O'Connor. All were on runway for Giles show. Collection was as showy as the models and Giles Deacon with the Renaissance theme. Baroque embroideries and patterns took the audience to the Elizabethan times.
Alright! We came to the end of London Fashion Week. Below are the best looks from the last two days. See you in Milan Fashion Week!

LFW SPRING 2016 RTW: PART 1

London Fashion Week Spring 2016 has been going on with creative presentations. I'll begin with the first three days' impressive shows.
Julien Macdonald's is always a subtle work with sparkles. This collection is true to this with the addition of tropical prints whose inspiration comes from Bali.
My favourite show by now is Gareth Pugh's which was full of fun, colour, sparkle, edginess and money. When I say money, I mean literally for the designer adds coins to some looks. I hope you get the message in this fun collection. Dress up, go out and have some fun people!
Versus Versace is completely in the hands of Anthony Vaccarello and it is obviously in the right hands. Vaccarello understands Versace well, adds a lot from himself to the brand and has Versus Versace. This season he uses floral prints which is new for him and surprising for us.
David Koma comes with yet another modern and fresh presentation with corsets, ruffles, zippers, belts and all.
Topshop Unique reflects contemporary British youth in every aspect. The masculine side is highlightened with oversize jackets and sweaters while the feminine side is there with the soft floral chiffons and lovely minis.
If there is something Alice Temperley does the best, it is embroidery. Temperley London's Spring 2016 collection is full of embroidery, too. On the other hand, it's full of summer and life. Everything for a summer in style is in this collection.
I want to say more but I had better stop here. Other great shows of these three days include Jonathan Saunders, Emilia Wickstead, Issa, Vivienne Westwood Red Label, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi and Mary Katrantzou. Check out all of them below.
