We are on the 9th day of New York Fashion Week Spring 2016 and one more day to finish. Today's presentations are great names again like Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta and Boss.
Boss definitely gained a fresh perspective with Jason Wu. Especially with this new collection. Wu applies fringes, shorter trousers, oversize jackets, sheer dresses and even prints.
That Michael Kors is one of the greatest designers to create absolute American looks is a well known fact. His Spring 2016 collection is again very American, modern and alive. Both feminine and masculine looks are merged in this collection.
Naeem Khan's collection is very close to his own roots again. It's such a detailed work and an eye-catching presentation with flowers and colours bursting.
On Narciso Rodriguez's runway every look was soft and sleek with slip dresses, asymmetrical cuts and smooth fabrics.
Oscar de la Renta is now in the hands of the late designer's successor, Peter Copping and I could not get over it yet. However, showing such a close taste to Oscar with the Spring 2016 collection, Copping makes us believe that the brand is in right hands. The beauty of the colours, the use of carnation prints, and such subtle and daring work give us clues about how strong he is to carry this huge name.
