Influenced by his city, his Roman roots, the movies of Antonioni and inspired by the discovery of French fashion through the watercolors of Yves Saint Laurent and the drawing of Gruau, Valli decided to pursue his dream in a fashion school. Debuting his first collection in 2005, the Italian designer Giambattista Valli soon became very popular among celebrities with his dramatic and feminine designs.
